How the Process Works
Getting your pet protected is a two-fold process. For microchips, head to your vet. The procedure is quick and painless, no more than a standard vaccination. For tags, your supplier will provide one directly. Either way, your pet ends up with a unique identifier that can be looked up instantly.
The most critical step: Once your pet has a chip or tag, you must register it with one of our database partners. They maintain the secure records that link that unique identifier to your name, address, and phone number.
Your chip or tag is only as useful as the information behind it. Make sure to keep your contact details, address, and ownership up to date with your database supplier whenever anything changes.
Many modern registrations can now be linked to digital health records, allowing for a comprehensive approach to pet care that moves with you, no matter where you go.
