Frequently Asked Questions
No. FindMyChip is a search engine, not a database. We cannot see, edit, or store your personal details. To update your address or phone number, you must log in directly to the database where your pet is registered.
We are always looking to expand our coverage to help more pets. If you manage a legitimate pet registry or database, please email our me to discuss API integration.
Take the pet to the nearest vet or animal welfare organisation to be scanned for a microchip or tag. The vet or welfare organisation will be able to find out which database the pet belongs to, then contact that database to reach the owner.
Sorry it's just me running things. I aim to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours, but occasionally other priorities get in the way. Please note that requests to update pet details will be redirected to the official suppliers.
